Midgard
In Norse mythology, the defensive fortress which the gods build about the middle portion of the earth allotted to men in order to protect mankind from the giants.

I've been having a hard time painting since my son passed away, but wanted to keep trying because I don't want to lose that part of myself. I found my mind wandering every time I sat to paint. Normally I have a clear vision of my painting before I start, this time I had nothing. So I just went with the flow and this is what happened. I spent an insane amount of time on each element, just painting and trying new techniques. I found it relaxing and fun. So it's not my best, but I'm on my way back. Yay!!! So this is basically a big doodle.

This is dedicated to Colt and his son Sean. I wish I could transport you both here to sit by the water, feed the swans and maybe find a little peace for a bit. But the best I can do is give you the visual. Wish I could do more.
