Vampire Embrace

She has seen hundreds of years of night, but her song has remained the same….

Come to me, I am forever young.
Come to me, it’s your blood I crave.
Come to me, I will give you life everlasting.
Come to me, you will never see the grave.

Come to me, feel my cold touch.
Come to me, we’ll dance in the moonlight.
Come to me, and feel my embrace.
Come to me, I am a child of the night.

A writer and poet I'm not.
This is what happens when you have too much time, my butt is sore from sitting at the computer and I've been dreaming vampires for a week now. I know my paintings are usually happy and sparkly but I wanted to do something different. Her eyes in particular have gone through many changes. They've been blue, gray, yellow and red. They've been too soft to be a vampire in my mind then they were too scary, to the point of me shivering every-time I walked back in the room. Till I settled somewhere in the middle. After all who is going to be enticed by a scary vampire? I picture them being very attractive and enticing. I did all of the cliché things like blood on her mouth, fangs and bite marks on her neck and didn't like any of them. So you get my painting accompanied by a very amateur poem. Lucky you!
